I had no idea there was a Ghirardelli in the area. There are pre-made chocolate bags or you can make your own bag. The ice cream is so good! The banana split came with three scoops of ice cream, three syrups: strawberries, pineapple and chocolate.

So many assortments of various chocolates to choose from, but the shining star here is the ice cream parlor. The sundaes are absolutely delicious and indulgent. A bit pricey, but you get very generous portions. The lands end sundae comes with WARM soft brownies 😋

Quiet Wednesday afternoon visit at the San Leandro Ghirardelli. Picked up gold caramel milk chocolate for a giveaway and ordered a sea salt caramel hot chocolate that came out quick with a little chocolate square on the lid. So cute! San Leandro is so fortunate to have this company headquartered here.

When we went to this Ghiradelli outlet, we were surprised that we were able buy not only its chocolate treats but its ice cream desserts. Bonus: It’s not as busy like the San Francisco location. There is ample parking lot. Efficient and friendly customer service … 10 minutes of getting here, we got our order.

Tucked between a quiet neighborhood and a commercial area,this Ghirardelli outlet is a quaint little gem. Not too crowded but always busy with people coming to grab some chocolate or to sit down to enjoy a sundae ice cream treat. Plenty of spaces in the parking lot when we went on a Saturday afternoon. Its fun to try all the ice cream flavors but I had the Strawberry Passion this time and I enjoyed every spoonful of it. The great thing is that its not sugar overkill even with the chocolate, caramel,and other sweet ingredients used, it hits the right combination. The prices of the sundaes have gone up and the amount you get have gone down over the years and that is always sad to see, but we come here as a family once in a while just to enjoy a nice time out together.
